Arsai Cherry Pure Olive Oil Bar Soap

Made freshly in Lebanon, our handmade Soap is cold pressed with the finest home grown olives. It deeply cleanses and purifies the skin, leaving it feeling refreshed, cleansed and moisturised.

Ingredients include: Olive Oil (moisturising), Coconut Oil (cleansing), Castor Oil (lathering), Lye (converts oil to soap), Purified Water, Natural Cherry Fragrance,  Mica Based Earth Pigments.

Olive Oil is used in all our soaps as the main base and is harvested from our family-owned olive groves which date back between 1000 - 6000 years old and are adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. The bar is 4oz roughly 110 grams.

At first sniff, you're greeted by the sweet and juicy notes that dance playfully on your palate, reminiscent of cherry candy or a freshly poured glass of cherry juice. There's a lusciousness to it, like indulging in the simplest yet most decadent of treats, but beneath the sweetness lies a subtle tartness, adding depth and complexity to the fragrance. It's like the perfect balance between sugar and acidity, creating a tantalising aroma that keeps you coming back for more. The scent of cherry is also imbued with a touch of freshness, as if you've just walked through a cherry orchard, surrounded by the crispness of the air and the greenery of the trees. Overall, the fragrance of cherry is a delightful blend of sweetness, tartness, and freshness that captivates the senses and transports you to a world of sunny days and bountiful harvests. 

Why cold pressed? - Well, Cold processed soap is known for its mild and gentle cleansing properties, making it ideal for sensitive and dry skin. Unlike commercial soaps that often contain harsh detergents, cold process soap does not strip away the skin's natural oils.

Why Olive Oil? - MOISTURISING - Olive oil offers several benefits for the skin, including deep hydration, antioxidant protection, and anti-inflammatory properties It can help moisturise dry skin, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and protect against sun damage. Olive oil also has antibacterial properties, which may help with wound healing and potentially reduce acne.

Why Coconut Oil? - CLEANSING - Coconut oil offers several potential benefits for the skin due to its moisturising, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. It can help hydrate dry skin, reduce inflammation, and potentially aid in wound healing. It can be used as a gentle and effective makeup remover, breaking down even waterproof makeup.

Why Castor Oil? - LATHERING - Castor oil offers several potential benefits for the skin, including moisturising, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, which can help with dry skin, acne, and wound healing. It's rich in ricinoleic acid, a fatty acid that can improve skin barrier function and potentially reduce the appearance of wrinkles and scars. 

Why Lye? - CONVERSION OF OILS TO SOAP - Specifically sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide, is a crucial ingredient in soap making because it facilitates the chemical reaction called saponification, which transforms oils and fats into soap.

Why Mica based Earth Pigments? - Mica-based earth pigments are natural mineral powder, derived from the mica mineral, that are ground into a fine powder. They are used to create shimmering or iridescent effects in various applications like cosmetics, paints, and soaps. Mica is a naturally occurring mineral that can be mined or created in a lab.
